Cynthia has provided wonderful guidance and support as an empathetic witness and counselor. My business has grown because I have grown. Thank you Cynthia
Cindy has been so supportive and instrumental in helping me to overcome compulsive behaviors and reactions to triggers that developed from childhood trauma. I am not reacting to every stressor anymore and through her therapy have been able to move forward from my past that was holding me back. Hands down best therapist I have been to!
I have taken advantage of counseling and therapies of all sorts over the past 25 years. I have never had the profound shifts in my perceptions and inner peace as I have had in only five months working with a counselor with this organization. These counselors are trained to truly listen to you and be able to sculpt their program and adjust it as the weeks go by so that your healing journey is not something just coming out of a book that you’re trying to apply to yourself. Your journey is one that is hand tailored for you, to meet your specific needs and address your specific fears, grief, and trauma. The goal seems to be to set you up with your own set of skills so that you can maintain the path before you and you know how to address and cope with what will come your way in the future. I have never felt more confident with my personal progress and I’m beginning to make plans for my future that I never thought possible. There are so many ways to heal, and I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to witness and participate in this specific method of moving past and honoring the trauma and grief that we all carry in order to learn from it and positively step forward without the weight of carrying it on our shoulders.
I decided to try grief counseling because I realized my past experiences, sometimes traumatic, were negatively impacting my quality of life and personal relationships. I've had therapy off and on to deal with things in the moment, but it was just enabling me to survive. I wanted to thrive. I felt that I was in a stable place to go digging, maybe look through my past with new eyes. I started this journey with Yvette Gwin as my counselor. I quickly realized that she was incredibly intuitive, compassionate and empathetic. Using the grief workbook, combined with her skill, she has helped me to see all of the pieces, the seemingly insignificant moments, that actually had a huge impact right from an early age. Yvette goes well beyond discovery and acknowledgement. Using the workbook and its well established grief techniques, she enables you to move forward with your new knowledge, helping you to heal, step by step. It literally feels like you are taking back your story, taking back the narrative, putting the power back in your hands instead of letting your fear take the wheel. Yvette never pushes you beyond what you're ready to deal with, letting you heal layer by layer. This is different though, in that you actually have to do the work. She's a wonderful guide and partner but it has to be a journey you're fully committed to making and ready to take accountability. The changes I've been able to make with Yvette's help, armed with my new awareness, have been really encouraging. I've been able to develop skills that help me cope with some of the emotional disregulation and fear that has plagued me my whole life. So many deep wounds are being healed through this work, and while it isn't easy, this is one of the healthiest decisions I've made. It's so worth it to invest in yourself! It will not only enrich your life but it will benefit the lives of those around you.
It was a pleasure to go through grief counseling with Victor after losing my newborn daughter and only child. The sessions were brief but very impactful. The workbook made the sessions meaningful and a lot of emotions, both negative and positive, were felt. I learnt that loss can come at any stage of life and processing the grief that comes along is super important to make us emotionally whole. I'd definitely recommend this team.
I love Cynthia and her team.
I met Cynthia shortly after my mother passed away. My Higher Power conspired on my behalf to have her move into my complex. She showed up at my door with a piece of gluten free coffee cake and the offer of a hug. We started working on my grief and fear quickly. She gave me tools to help me navigate my emotions and reactions to situations. Moments That Make You and Cynthia Scanlon saved my life!!
Cynthia is quite simply an incredible human being. She has helped me navigate a very Emotionally tragic event in my life. With her guidance and love she gave me the strength and a healthy perspective on how to deal with my situation. I feel so blessed to have met this beautiful person.
This work helped me to work through a lot of things, to the point I have been able to let go. Let go of old thoughts, emotions, and feelings. I've become grounded and calm. I'm forever thankful for Cynthia.
